A Lab for Creative Bravery

The Digital Art Lab is a resource and inspiration platform for Irish primary teachers — where traditional art-making and digital technology come together.

The Digital Art Lab

Digital technology is always at the centre of the DAL. Sometimes you'll start with paint or clay and bring ideas into a digital tool. Sometimes it's purely digital. What matters is the spirit of experimentation — the willingness to try something, see what happens, and try again.

Everything here comes from real workshops with trainee and qualified teachers — experimenting together, taking chances, making mistakes, and discovering what genuinely works in a primary classroom.

The DAL is not a finished product. It is a living, growing platform — shaped by teacher feedback, workshop experiments, and the ongoing PhD research it is built on.
